MIZ + LIZ IN SUNSET PARK

Imagine walking into a raw rustic space and transforming it into a personalized, unique experience that reflects the love story of Michael and Elizabeth, better known as, Miz & Liz. Warehouse Studios, located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, is where the beginning of the rest of their lives took place. The 4,500 square foot loft started out as a renovated coffee roasters building with an open brick-face built in 1914 and then transformed into an eclectic beautiful for everything from photo shoots to weddings.

Michael and Elizabeth wanted to ensure that their family and friends would never have a dull moment by including a bean bag toss game, a walk-in photo booth with props, and an awesome MC who knew how to get everyone on the dance floor.

The couple’s West Indian and Southern roots were highlighted in their food selections. Peppa’s Jerk Chicken in Brooklyn catered to guests wishing for a taste of the Caribbean. Their menu including such tantalizing choices as fried fish, rice and peas and plantain. While Jacob Restaurant, located on Lenox Avenue in Harlem, prepared mouthwatering soul food that included fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and collard greens.

Once guests had a chance to indulge in the delicacies provided it was time to dance those calories off with the party sounds of DJ Pratt from Hempstead, Long Island. They were able to work up a sweat and congratulate the newlyweds as they graced the dance floor with their energy and finesse. As the night continued it was time to cut the cake, however, this was no traditional wedding cake. A cake of opulence was provided by Audrey Evans, which just happens to be the cousin of the bride, was a tower of perfection.

As the reception was winding down everyone was provided a sparkler to bid our couple farewell into wedded bliss.
